Baby Blankets!

I'm definitely at the "everyone I know is having babies, or trying to" stage of life. It is wonderful, because I love babies! I can't have my own just yet, but I very much enjoy borrowing kiddos from my friends, and knitting for them is always a blast. Baby stuff is just cute, y'know? And it goes quickly! I can't knit blankets for all the babies around because that would take too much time, but here are a few recent ones:

Rock Chalk Wilfred, for Baby H in Kansas:

It is affectionately known as the Spiderman Blanket...
"Spiderman" blanket!
...and is really good for napping.

Purple Pinwheel, for Baby L in Oregon:

Also good for napping.

Coco's Blanket, for Baby Coco in Louisiana:

I don't have an action shot, yet, but this is me and Coco:

She's so tiny and soft and wonderful!

I really like the pinwheel (purple) and chalice lace (green) patterns, and it wouldn't surprise me if I make more. What's your favorite baby blanket pattern?

  1. Awwww, indeed!
I especially love the green blanket, but the other too are beautiful too. I have a sun yellow pin-wheel blanket somewhere in my WIP stash...

  4. @toveb - Thanks! I like the chalice lace pattern a lot because it looks really sharp, but isn't actually very hard. A nice benefit! I bet the pinwheel looks great in a bright color like yellow!

@Krystal - The snuggling pics are my favorites. Do you recognize Babies H and L? They are Philmont babies! We have decided that they will get married in 20 or so years and be the Philmont Power Couple. ;)

    They are all beautiful!

If I could, I'd make myself a regular-human-sized pinwheel blanket.

  8. @Daphna - Thanks! I've been thinking about making myself a full-size blanket. It would take forever, but would be snuggly during the winter! Pinwheel would be perfect for a full/queen/king-size bed!
